Stress,distress!!

It’s the last few weeks before the exams and you’re trying to cram the year’s worth of studies in the ninth hour. Staring at the books that are getting back at you for ignoring them for the past year. The clock too seems be involved in the books evil plan as the minute hand defies time and refuses to budge. After six to seven hours of slogging and trying to learn up each and every word, solving inhumane question paper, trying to understand cruel math properties your brain is completely drained of all its thinking power and your is standing perpendicular with your head due to all that stress you have endured. You need to look for some kind of D-stressing agent. Some kind of magic potion that can make you feel all better and bring a sense of calm. The first thing I used to do was meditate. Yes I know meditation does sound weird. Something that oldies do because of health ailments or out of just plain boredom but seriously it works.I started on it just to prove to my granddad it doesn’t work but was left in a slightly embarrassing position when after just breathing in and breathing out with my thumb over one nostril left me more cheerful and less distressed (I lost 50 bucks due this bet).Another thing that works is green tea. Another old person trick that totally tames your nerves. Reading a good book (especially trashy romances) also works for me but if you’re not much of a reader as is the case with most of the population today this one would probably not work for you. But the number one most effective way to relax your body and soul is ‘music’. It completely calms your senses and makes you feel wonderful. Any kind of music even if the genre you don’t prefer. Its weird but even old Hindi movie songs with their utterly shrill tones also do then trick. And it would probably be for you best interest to not loose your headphones. Trust me these things might look trivial but you realize their importance only once they are lost, specially if without the music you go crazy. Keeping an extra pair are also always for the better. TV also plays life saver, tuning in to any mindless Chanel....even ones you don't usually watch is surprisingly comforting. The idiot really works.Facebook if you parents have not disconnected the net is also pretty calming.

Well happy studying(I'm trying to be positive here)
